Most of my challenge has been on UK roads but today was totally different, the majority of it was along National Cycle routes with only about 15 mile of the 51 being on roads. We followed tracks, disused railway lines and canal paths. It was a very pleasant ride. Both Joanna and I were dreading a very steep 171 foot hill that showed up on the elevation graph just outside Weston Super-Mare 😦
We were following the disused old Strawberry Line at the time and came to the base of the hill where we found much to our surprise and pleasure that the railway had run through a tunnel below the 171 foot very steep hill which we felt it would have been very rude of us not to take advantage of the tunnel.
