Day 9 - Part 4

Up and on wards I followed the cairns until I came to the 3 which told me to turn left, a hundred or so meters through deeper snow and I had eventually reach the summit. Through the low cloud I made out the triangulation point which marks the summit and took a self portrait of me and it. To protect the lens from the stinging rain I had to take the picture face on into the rain.

After 5 1/4 hours I had reached the summit, 4,409 ft (1,344m), the highest point in the UK – tick in the box.

    Wow Graham. . Bloody well done mate,. I see your determination is getting stronger day by day. Bet you burnt a few calories on this trek.
