Day 2 - Part 1

On day two luckily I remembered the Vaseline which was applied prior to slipping into my skin tight cycling gear, but I won’t lubricate your imaginary visions of these two events any longer.

The days ride started out as it finished yesterday with a head wind. What made it worse was that the B&B was 5 miles prior to the day 1 finish and so I had to cycle this up and down hills just to get back to the starting point.

The day got worse and the picture gives a clue, not that there was any snow but that the road went up above the winter snow line, and so began the first of 5 category 5 climbs ranging in length from 0.56 miles to 1,92 miles.

I’m sure these hills didn’t exist when I drove the route.

Two days completed and according to the cycle computer about 8,000 kCals used up!
